This is a pressed-fit bushing that requires specialized Tesla service tools and training for proper removal and installation, per official Tesla service procedures:
Secure the vehicle on a lift and disconnect all necessary electrical and mechanical connections
Remove the complete rear drive unit from the vehicle subframe
Mark the position of the old bushing on the drive unit casing before removal to ensure proper alignment of the new bushing
Assemble the official Tesla 1137785-00-B Drive Unit Bushing R&R tool kit using cups N, A, and G for right side bushing removal
Install the removal tool onto the right side bushing, then press the old bushing out of the gearcase casting
Clean and prepare the gearcase mounting bore for the new bushing
Use the correct installation cup to press the new bushing into the factory-specified position
Reinstall the rear drive unit into the vehicle and tighten all mounting bolts to factory torque specifications (105 Nm / 77.4 lbs-ft for motor mount bolts)
Reconnect all components and verify proper operation before returning the vehicle to service
